I believe in Jesus Christ who has given his own life for us. I know what is the meaning of the Cross and the following of the Cross... I will die to defend the rights of my suffering people and for my principles.Read this report at the BBC and watch a video Bhatti recorded two months ago.
Oremus pro Antistite nostro Alexandro. Stet et pascat in fortitudine tua, Domine, in sublimitate nominis tui. (Let us pray for our Bishop Alexander. May he stand firm and shepherd his flock by Your strength, O Lord, in the majesty of Your name.)

It's way past time that people living under a death threat from Islam took matters into their own hands. After Shabhaz Bhatti realized that informing the powers that be about the threats against his life were going unheeded, he should've got a little squad of armed volunteers together so that any attempt on his life would extract a high price from his cowardly attackers. Expecting Muslims to help you when you are under a death threat issued according to Islam's Sharia laws is utterly futile.
ReplyDeleteVery moving to hear this courageous man speak. I was deeply touched when I read that he visited his mother every morning to pray with her. What a man of faith. He walked the way of the cross; praying that I could have courage like this. May his soul rest in peace and may the Lord bless Pakistan and grant safety to the minority of Christians.
ReplyDeleteTo Atlanta Roofing: but that is not the Christian way. We would be no better than the Taliban if we sought to "extract a high price" from our attackers.
ReplyDeletePerhaps now is the time for the Missa Ex Surge in the traditional Roman rite to be offered by Catholic priests who care?
