"The face of God is that of a merciful father, who is always patient... He does not tire of forgiving us if we know how to turn to him with a contrite heart... The Lord never tires of forgiving. We are the ones who tire of asking for forgiveness." (Angelus, March 17, 2013)

The picture you have used is of St Mary Star of the Sea, West Melbourne Australia. St Mary's is the largest parish church in the sthn hemisphere. It has been recently renovated and is in the capable hands of American born Opus Dei priests. The priest shown is Lithuanian. The Lithuanian community has its Masses etc at St Mary's.

Father, I just went to the St Mary's website and it says that St Mary's is the largest parish church in Melbourne. You might like to change my claim that it is the largest parish church in the Sthn Hemisphere; I was told that but never checked it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Sharon. It looks a beautiful church and is obviously in the hands of great priests!
